New temple construction

Timeline: 12 Months (est.)
Expense: ₹ 10, 00, 000 (est.)

October ‘21: Plaster work

July ‘21: Shrines of Ammai, Murugar and Vinayagar under construction

June ‘21: Ongoing construction work

May ‘21: The Suyambulingeswarar Temple was the first project that Aranpani was privileged to spearhead. It is located in a remote village in Vazhutharetti. When we first visited the village during the monsoon season, we had to wade through knee deep water at some points of our journey before we reached the Temple.

Our conversations with the people in the village revealed that a 22 year-old mother of one was instrumental in constructing the Temple. What was more inspiring was that despite earning a daily wage from her hard labour, she went on to construct a roof for Lord Siva as well as Nandi idols with her meagre earnings.

Considering the devotion of  the mother in constructing a temple against all odds, Aranpani decided to support her in completing the temple, which included restoring the idols that were damaged.
